How do I determine the fair price of an RV?

The best way to determine the fair price of new or used RV’s is to look at the actual selling price of similar units. This information can be gleaned from other RV owners, online auction sites, and RV dealers who make their selling prices public.

Many websites that post “for sale by owner” ads can be misleading because people are asking a price, it is not what it sells for. (Kijiji, Craigslist, RV Trader etc)

When being told what your trade-in value is, many dealers bump up the price of the unit your buying, and as such bump up the price they quote you for a trade-in. You think your getting an expensive RV and your getting big bucks for your trade, when in reality your getting fooled into thinking your deal is good when in many cases your paying thousands too much. (If the website says “Call for Price” then the dealer is holding back on the pricing until you call and he can find out if you have a trade)

Remember, the only number that matters is the difference. It is the only real number, all other numbers can be manipulated to make you feel its a good deal…..then they say “sign right here”

Campkin’s RV, posts only the selling price. This also means we only quote the true trade-in value.

We are the only dealer we know of that posts a PRICING POLICY so you know exactly what your being charged for, what you should expect to get and why.

Campkin’s RV offers a consignment program, we call it “Offer to Purchase” here is more details
